Where's the Real Snow?

I am disappointed with old man winter. As a kid we had a really long and eventually wide driveway that took forever to shovel. My dad swore he would never buy a snowplow thingy because "then it won't snow again". Likely. Because we bought a snow thingy (I can't remember the name) it was never ever going to snow again in the northeast. So the Scannell clan trucked away shoveling every winter. Well a few years back I bought snowshoes (the year we had that big ole blizzard in boston). I trucked around Charlestown on them. Well ever since we have hardly had enough snow to use them. So, my apologies to my father. He was right. Once I bought the snowshoes, it never snowed again. Lesson: listen to your parents, they might just know something.
